Coaches

The ambition is to provide unrivalled expert cricket coaching by top quality coaches for juniors learning the game. The Lewdown Cricket Academy boasts a great reputation across Devon and Cornwall as one the leading cricket coaching services, with young cricketers representing their District or County.

The Philosophy

To provide an opportunity for young cricketers at club and school level to maximise their ability.  The Lewdown Cricket Academy has a structured cricket coaching set up whether your child is a beginner or has ambitions to become a Professional Cricketer.

The Professional Touch

The Lewdown Cricket Academy believes that having ex Professional cricketers and coaches running the coaching has huge benefits for young cricketers.  Not only do they pass on expert technical cricket coaching, they can also pass on their own experiences and vast knowledge of the First Class game. Young cricketers are more receptive to Professional cricketers and coaches running the coaching due to the ‘hero factor’ of having seen the coach play on TV, or the knowledge that the coach has been at the top of the game. With children’s attention the key to development, we offer a unique service incomparable to any other cricket coaching in the area.

‘Brenden is a worthy winner of a Devon OSCA and will represent Devon at the National NatWest OSCA’s event in October held at Lords Cricket Ground.’

Matt Theedom - Devon Cricket Development Manager

Morgan really enjoyed yesterday’s session, and said it was really good indoors; in particular the time taken to explain rules / details etc ... Myself, I think you and your training team are doing a fantastic job, well organised and informative to the kids, teaching them the basics, and the theory behind the game in a positive, productive manner. Well done to all.

Len Scott, parent

"The coaching and structure of the course was brilliant, particularly playing the matches every day and varying who was captain."
"There was a really healthy competitive spirit and yet everyone got to participate."

Junior participants

We have been more than impressed with the warm, friendly welcome that we received at Lewdown Cricket Academy.  The boys are enjoying their cricket and we can see their improvement.  A well run organisation with committed members.  Thank you
